Playing the Game
I need to update my profiles, so here goes;
Metatron; is an asshole. Can I just say that? I hate him. He's disgusting. He's insane like all angels are insane. They don't understand. They can't, and we burn in the consumption of their madness and their zeal. If this God fellow really is real, then boy did he fuck up when he created those things. Metatron has ways of knowing things and keeping people from killing each other. If I had to guess his weakness it would probably be seeing his people hurt. Is he capable of wrath? This is something important I need to find out. And when it comes to killing angels, never say never.
Lucifer; something about him makes me shiver. I fear very few things, but I can see the madness and the cruelty in his eyes as plain as the moon on a cloudless night. So yes, he scares me. But I must take this fear and master it. He will not conquer me. He likes to play games and give favors. But he also likes to torture for no reason at all. Therefore non-contact is the best contact. He also seems to have the ability to prevent death, and from what I know of him, it is probably an obligation rather than a sense of actually helping anybody. Which means he's following rules too. Some higher power has him leashed. That means his power is not absolute, and therefore there is leverage somewhere. I need only to find it.
----
Jazz; is the oldest and smartest and most cunning of all the players gathered here. I have watched him carefully, and been more than impressed. Neither an enemy nor an ally can one truly make of Jazz. He is implacable, and graceful as a cat. Of all the pieces on the board, it is my belief that Jazz is by far the most dangerous. I can only accept this and be on my guard.
Sal; has been up on my radar of late. I'm not quite sure why. He's in my business just as much as I'm in his, I'm sure. The problem with Sal is that his probing is so blatant. He has no grace. A predator, yes, but a crude predator. He is young, and thus rash even when thinking he is not. What would he be without those guns? I have a problem with Sal. I don't like his cocky ass, and he's simply after everybody's bacon for the hell of it. That includes my bacon. He could be useful if I could direct him in other people's directions, but that will take a lot of time if it is even possible at all. He seems to have an attachment to Emerald, though, which means he's not as cold as he makes out to be. It would be best if I could just snuff Sal out.
Emerald; has disappeared. She has skill with plants and poisons and is easily directed, which is good, but she is flighty it seems, and not dependable. I still have not figured out her nymphomania, but I will. She can be used as a tool against Sal in the future perhaps.
Light; has a lot of pain coming his way. I was about to go for his scrawny Japanese ass right when Lucifer decided he was going to reward whoever beat the shit out of him. I did not want Lucy's attentions, so I let Carrion take the glory, but in no way am I done with that kid. I have a score to settle with him, and anyone who owes me always pays in the end. Oh yes. That sociopath does not know what he's in for. I'll wait as long as it takes for the right opportunity. His relationship with L seems to continue despite previous happenings. This is extremely curious. I must watch their interactions more closely. I will hold my current opinions in silence until I can better illuminate the structure of this relationship. Dante seems to be beginning the process of digging her claws into him as well.
Carrion; is talented, I'll give him that. His stitchlings are amazing pieces of work. I'm still convinced that he's unbalanced in some way. He's...off. I've seen it before many times. Deep sorrow and obsession over something. It comes off him in waves. He's intelligent though, and will go along with plans that are reasonable. This makes him extremely useful. It's too bad that he's ugly as sin.
Gin; frustrates me. He says so little. He's decided on his prey already. Kain. That's fine with me. He certainly seems up to it. From what I can tell he used to be part of some sort of military unit. And he's fast. I can just sense that. Getting him to be cooperative might be a challenge. Maybe I should ask him to spar? There are risks in that...
Dante; is what I thought she is. She is subtle and patient. One would not notice her weavings until her noose was around their neck. She's working on Light and Walter right now, so far as I can tell. Will too, probably. She's been quiet lately. She's certainly not pushing to fast. I will have to keep a strong eye on her, lest I find her noose around my own neck. This alchemy thing has me on alert. It's magic whether she thinks so or not. And I'm guessing she's good at it.
Shinji; pretentious little fuck. He's certainly not threatening, but even then I can hardly stand him. He's smart. He think a lot. But it's about all the wrong things. He needs to get his head out of his ass before it gets stuck there. He's pretty useless save for his newfound connection with Asgard and possibly Dorian.
Cox; Old Squishy has been shut up in his room a lot. I'm taking a wild guess and saying Lina holds grudges, so I've been making sure she doesn't try to turn him into barbecue. Since the vandalism incident she's stayed away from Niflheim, which is good for him. I am going to have a problem if he tries to heal someone from the other side. I cannot allow it. He did a good job at stitching up my arm. I was worried he was going to drag me into his office every other day and try to force antibiotics down my throat or something, but I've managed to escape his doctorly attentions for now. I wish I could make a friend out of him.
Walter; is a child? Is bi-polar? Has multiple personalties? All I know is that he scares the Weird Quartet, which is good enough for now. Eventually I will have to unravel what exactly he is and what exactly he can do.
Midvalley; kills people with music. Likes jazz, and likes Jazz. Weird, huh? He seems mild compared to the some of the rest of us. He's got a brain and some common sense, methinks. He can follow orders that he thinks reasonable. A useful piece in the game. He's heavily under Jazz's influence though. That will make him harder for me to manipulate.
Balam; is a strange kid. Paranoid, mostly silent, but there's some kind of bright streak in him somewhere. He commands fire, and his eyes are quite strange, almost breathtaking. He will not be easily molded, but with time perhaps I could make him into something strong and great. I owe him a dept, but that may be to my advantage. I kind of like that kid.
Una; You know, for a banshee she's rather boring. One would expect a lot more screaming and shrieking and fae mischief. She's got a thing going on with Sal, and a thing going on with Emerald, but other than that she appears to be almost placid. I had a dream about her and Blythe together. The details are sketchy, but they weren't trying to kill each other. Weird?
----
Alice Elliot; Has the power to heal. Has a weak constitution. Is still just as fucking disgusting as ever. KILL KILL KILL
Kain; Turns out he's an interesting fellow. A fighter. A hothead. He doesn't say much on open channels. He an Lina are partners in crime, and that has been marked. I'm guessing pride is his hot button. I cannot wait to push it. I think Kain will be fun to play with in the future.
Will; Oh, my dear Will. I had such fun setting him loose on Asgard. As an extra bonus the experience seemed to flip one of his switches, and he's making enemies in Asgard fast. L in particular, it seems. I know his story. He's an FBI agent. Serial killers. The guy is fucked up. I intend to exploit his situation as much as possible. In a very strange way I am almost attracted to Will. I've been known to have bad taste.
Blythe; Blythe found herself a book of magic, did she? Silly girl. When will she ever learn to keep important information off open channels? Arcane ritual is not my forte, but I am a witch, and I know a thing or two about the down and dirty sort of magic that is actually useful. I will be watching the flows very closely, dear Blythe, especially if you intend to dabble in magic.
L; Methinks this kiddo has completely lost it. When genius gets scrambled it becomes volatile, but ultimately useless. Right now I think I have a way to get a thread tied to him through Will. If he recovers he will be more of a problem, as it stands, he is not my biggest worry.
Alessa; is still freaking creepy as ever. What's her game? She is like a deep, dark pool. I do not like it. I think I should scry on her.
Henry; "The Leader". Phht. Right. That will be easy to dismantle. He annoys me. I want to bite into his fleshy human neck. Most definitely something going on between him and Eileen.
Eileen; Add her to the hate list. What a petulant, annoying little girl. I could shred her up and eat her with my Wheaties. She is hardly worth my time or consideration aside from her uses as a tool to get at Henry and the others.
Frank; This unassuming old man has proven to have steel in him. He'd be a better leader than Henry, if only anybody stopped to consider it. Out of the Weird Quartet, he and Alessa are the real threats. Frank notices things and is cautious. He will be hard to snare.
Glitch; Chronic amnesia. Harmless and useless.
Lina; still the most threatening magic user, as far as I'm concerned. Conceited, stubborn, stuck up. In essence, a teenager. It is easy to goad teenagers into what one desires them to do. She poses an immediate physical sort of danger, but no more. That makes her much easier to deal with. Also, she's voracious.
Kamina; has been MIA for a longass time. That puts me on edge a little. Not knowing is always the worst.
Dorian; is a mummy. A mummy! It seems Kain has been attempting to train him to fight. That's rich. If Dorian really is undead than that makes him hard to deal with. You gotta tear those sorts into itty bitty pieces in order for them to stay down, but this fellow is a psychotic idiot. What is he really going to do? I have a feeling that if I took him out I could break the Asgardian's moral. Wouldn't that be something?
Mitch; I have changed my opinion of him. He not just some squishy useless human. He is...something more. He requires more observation. He's got leadership potential, whether he know it or not, and he has Sal's special attention, which is of interest to me.

There is really so much to do. So much to plan. So much to weigh and consider. I have hardly been sleeping, so ardently I have been sorting things out. The notes above are just cursory, of course. Waysigns the remind me of the important things. Much is not said. Much I dare not say, even under the supposed safety of personal notes.
More later, of course.
